Ramadhan 2008
During the Muslim Holy month of Ramadhan in September, Imran
Hussain brings to you the Islamic Awareness month at Tameside
Radio it is a chance for you to listen to Imran Hussains'
exploration into Islam - Imran goes beyond beards and bad press
to give you a 5 week journey into Islamic history and culture.

The first week will be devoted to The Prophet - a man of amazing
social justice, what were his life and times? Also reflecting on
the five pillars of Islam and the Sunnah. After this Imran will
be venturing into the Ottoman Empire and the Golden Age of Islam
where Philosophy, Science and Mathematics were just a few of the
subjects in which the Ottomans' specialised.
Do you want to hear about Islamic poetry, the sublime beauty of
Art and Architecture, Islamic mysticism and philosophy? then
join Imran on Monday evenings from 8pm – 9pm starting in
September where Islamic history comes to life.

MOZ FEST 08

On Sunday, Mark Andrews' All Hit Jukebox came live from the Mossley Music Festival (Moz
Fest), in a rather muddy field, over 80 artistes including local
bands, DJ's & MC's appeared during the weekend.
Tameside Radio were there on Sunday morning talking to local
bands and organisers of this, the 6th Mossley Music Festival.
